Though my bruised and battered legs were a little sore, they ran like champs! I got my nice little Friendship / Shadyside / Lawrenceville jaunt in (even saw a few fellow runners).
Then , I came back to a treat —
JJ gave me her iPod and I got to listen to Lewis Black and try not to laugh all over my cube. Then Brandon sent me this gem:
Lunch Run
So, I was kicking ASS the first three miles — it wasn’t until I did the 200 ft rise over .75 mile at the end that I started feeling the hurt. However, I kept my target pace (~12 min / mile). Either way, I had a good time. Isn’t that the important bit?
I took this picture for Darren:
And this one about a block away from where I turned around:
Bib and program from my first ever race — the Morningside Mile (it wasn’t my first mile of the day, more around my eighth to ninth.) I was aiming for a 12:00 min time, given where it was in my running. I got 11:52!
